The Cross-border cooperation Programme Montenegro – Republic of Albania for 2021-2027 will be implemented in through thematic clusters and priorities:

Thematic cluster 2: Greener and improved resource efficiency

Thematic priority 2: Environment protection, climate change adaptation and mitigation, risk prevention and management

• Specific objective 1: The cross-border territory is more environmentally sustainable and resilient

Thematic cluster 4: Improved business environment and competitiveness

Thematic priority 5: Tourism and cultural and natural heritage;

• Specific objective 1: Cross-border tourism and cultural/natural heritage contributes more to cross-border economic development
• Specific objective 2: Upgrade the competitiveness of service providers / SMEs in the tourism sector

Note: Thematic cluster 5 (Improved capacity of local and regional authorities to tackle local challenges) will be mainstreamed in the programme document.

The Programme area of the programme will be in Montenegro: Andrijevica, Bar, Berane, Budva, Cetinje, Danilovgrad, Gusinje, Kolašin, Petnjica, Plav, Podgorica, Rožaje, Tuzi, Ulcinj and Zeta and in Albania: Shkodër County, Lezhë County and Tropojë District.

The total budget of programme is EUR 13,790,000, while the EU contribution is EUR 11,900,000.
